“A Day of Recovery”, in Sterling, Colorado celebrates recovery from addiction.
A free buffet-style meal will be provided to those who attend. There will be guest speakers from local agencies speaking on recovery and why they do what they do. The event will be closed with a live performance from two local artists who wrote a song dedicated to this day. Doors open at 4 pm, food will be ready by 5 and the event will start at 6 pm.
Local art will be displayed from individuals and recovery group showing what recovery means to them. Please take the time to see these displays. Ramada has an amazing event decorator.
The special guest speaker is in recovery, Marcia A. White, and her story will be sure to inspire you.

Here is the event itinerary for the Ramada Event from 4-8 pm. If you do not like your position in the lineup please let me know so I can make the correction and forward the change the event MC. All speakers listed are encouraged to speak on the behalf of your organization and why you do what you do for the recovery community in Sterling. If you are in recovery to please share 3 things that make your recovery a success for today.
The food will be out and ready by 4:30 so if people decide to show up before 5 they can eat when they arrive. To all the participating organizations bringing sides you can bring them to the Country Kitchen at the Ramada Inn Friday between 5&9 PM or Saturday morning between 8&10 AM.
Thank you all for making Recovery Day in Sterling possible. Community togetherness sets a great example for individuals seeking long-term recovery from addiction. This day will be great to promote awareness to individuals seeking addiction support services in Logan Country and help build an information stream to people who want more information about addiction and recovery and where to find it in the community.
As you may or may not know it is Constitution Week in Sterling. The courthouse will only be lit purple the night of the events. During this week the old courthouse will be lit in red, white, and blue. Go America!
